Hamas Using 20 Hospital as Shields and Hostage Holding Centers

1.JaFaJ has learned from a senior Israeli military source that the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) has been able to identify twenty different hospitals in Gaza which Hamas has been using as shields with tunnel military units underneath and also as holding centers for more and estimated 250 Israeli hostages.
2. According to the Israeli source, Hamas has separated hostages into several categories: men of fighting age (mostly Israeli soldiers), and women and children. A third category consists of foreign and dual national Israelis who hold Western passport(s). The source reported that, “Hamas broke down all three categories into groups of less than ten individuals distributed them in the tunnels under twenty different hospitals.”
3. An American intelligence-connected source has reported to JaFaJ that the Israelis claims are true. “By placing hostages in tunnels under hospitals, Hamas secures itself twice, because the Israelis do not want to kill their own hostages, nor do they want to be called the ones who attack hospitals”.

Tunisia Secretly Cooperating with Israel, Considering A Peace Agreement

1. Summary: Challenged at the domestic level as the public questions its legitimacy and protests their deteriorating economic conditions, the Government of Tunisia (GOT) has recently been warming up to Israel by expanding its intelligence sharing and cooperation with the Government of Israel (GOI). JaFaJ has confirmed that Israeli officials have already visited Tunisia to discuss further cooperation as their Tunisian counterparts promise a peace deal “at the right time.” Nonetheless, Tunisia is one of many Arab countries holding secret ties with Israel. The GOT may be just seeking leverage from the Israelis during these challenging times for Tunisia. Hence, the sudden GOT warmth towards Israel may not translate into a peace agreement, much less a functioning sustainable peace between both countries.
2. JaFaJ sources have learned that Tunisia’s Government has been expanding its intelligence sharing and cooperation with the Israeli Government. The cooperation includes working on issues of mutual interests, countering terror groups, the Mediterranean’s safety and observing radical Islamists operating in Tunisia’s neighbor, Libya.
3. The sources confirmed the recent cooperation with the Israelis has been commissioned by “The highest office in Tunisia and blessed by the country’s military commanders.” The source added that “Tunisia hopes to enhance its standing with the United States, and hopes that by cooperating with Israel, they will be able to strengthen their regional position, and hope Israel will help garner America’s support for Tunisia’s current Government, which is influenced by the army generals. [Reftel: https://acuitywebtechnologies.com/jafaj/in-tunisia-a-soft-class-act-military-coup-is-cooking/]
4. JaFaJ sources in Tunisia have confirmed that high-ranking Israeli officials have secretly visited Tunisia and met with their Tunisian counterparts. The sources added that these meetings preceded lower-level meetings in Dubai, which were arranged by a wealthy Tunisian businessman who resides there. The sources then confirmed the Tunisian officials promised their Israeli guests “extensive cooperation on security related-matters and expressed their interest in a future peace deal with Israel in what they described as the right time”. An Israeli diplomatic source opined, “We are optimistic about future ties with Tunisia.” The source continued, “It’s not the only Arab nation we have secret ties with at the moment.” The source continued by saying, “Tunisia is a very strategic hub that rests on the Mediterranean Sea and borders Libya, a nation plagued by radicals and terrorists, this makes cooperation between us and Tunisia important.”
5. Note: The GOT has been going through challenging times. A squeezing economic crisis, rampant public dismay of GOT’s performance and unbridled disdain of the Tunisian President Qais Said. For a government whose local confidence is shrinking, and its legitimacy questioned, the GOT has not been able to find much Western support or a Western guarantor. Therefore, it is highly likely GOT is seeking peaceful ties with Israel to strengthen its weak standing on the regional and international scale. The Israelis are aware of this, but have been sustaining a decades-long policy of not turning away anyone who outreaches them in the region. Nonetheless, it would be too optimistic to assume the GOT’s sudden warmth towards Israel may bring a functioning peace agreement with Israel. And even if such an agreement were to come to be, it may be like the peace between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel, which UAE seems to use more for international leverage and public diplomacy rather than achieving real peace between both countries.

Russia Will Use Tactical Nuclear Weapons in Ukraine, Says Saudi Arabia Rulers

1. Summary: JaFaJ sources have confirmed that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman (MBS) has warned the governments of the United States and the United Kingdom that Russian President Putin was now “very likely” to use tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine to achieve “a final victory.” JaFaJ sources in both nations are not ruling out the likelihood of MBS concerns materializing.
2. JaFaJ sources have confirmed that Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman (MBS) of Saudi Arabia is convinced that “Russia has decided to use tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine to end the war and deter further action from the United States and NATO countries.” According to JaFaJ sources, MBS has warned the United States that they are “underestimating the length Russia is willing to go to achieve victory in Ukraine” and warned them that “It is now a matter of when, not if, Putin will use a limited scale nuclear strike in Ukraine.” An American intelligence source confirmed the report with JaFaJ by saying that “It is true, the Saudis have recently warned the White House and Britain that Putin is a nudge away from using nukes against Ukraine.” He added, “According to the Saudis, Putin is not bluffing.”
3. A Washington, DC based American diplomatic source has confirmed that “The Department of State is very concerned about the escalation of Russia’s attacks on Ukraine.” The source continued, saying that “My opinion does not represent the Department of State, but I think Putin is a man who has too much pride to lose this war.” The source added that “regardless of cost, nobody can predict how far Putin will go to win in Ukraine.” The source continued by saying, “I will not personally rule out the threat of Putin using nuclear weapons in Ukraine if we keep pushing him to the battlefield instead of the negotiation table.”
4-Note: Saudia Arabia has been neutral concerning the war in Ukraine. MBS has been very aware of America’s diminishing power in the Middle East, and as such, MBS has been forging alliances with other forces, focusing on China. This position, and MBS remaining neutral towards Russia, is against what MBS’s Western allies have wanted. At the same time, MBS is convinced that Putin may use tactical nuclear weapons to win Ukraine war. MBS seems so sure, that he personally brought this news to the attention of the White House and President Biden. Therefore, it is a possibility that MBS has directly heard this from either the Russian or Chinese leadership.

The Inter-Governmental Commercial Transactions Bill, on becoming the Act of Parliament after it is passed by the Senate and signed by the President, is aimed at selling off state-owned enterprises to raise billions of rupees.
The bill, which was okayed by the federal cabinet last month, will provide for a mechanism to carry out a commercial transaction under an inter-governmental framework agreement to promote, attract and encourage foreign states for economic and business relations with Pakistan.
It will provide for the federal government to enter into a government-to-government (G2G) agreement with a foreign state for the purposes of legislation. Unless provided otherwise by the cabinet committee, a commercial agreement under the G2G agreement shall be negotiated and executed between the nominated entities of the federal government and the government of a foreign state.

The committee will authorise fast track procurement of services of transaction advisers or consultants; and take decisions necessary for expeditious execution of the commercial transaction. The cabinet committee shall place the agreement before the federal government for approval.
The cabinet committee shall facilitate and supervise the commercial transactions under the ordinance and pass necessary directions for removal of hurdles or difficulties. The committee may co-opt any person as a member or may require attendance of any person by special invitation as it deems appropriate. The federal government may also issue necessary directions to the provincial governments, local governments or any agency or authority concerned for implementation of the objective of an inter-governmental agreement in land acquisition, rehabilitation, settlement, construction of roads to main highway and other measures.
The federal government, by a notification, may exempt the agreement from any regulatory compliance. No court shall entertain an application, petition or suit against any process or act undertaken or done, intended or purported to be undertaken or done under the ordinance.

Democracy in Turkey impossible without Öcalan, says German MP

German Left Party MP Gökay Akbulut, commenting on the jailed PKK leader’s three-year isolation,
said that democracy in Turkey cannot be sustained without Abdullah Öcalan.

2:36 pm 08/08/2022

German Left Party (Die Linke) MP Gökay Akbulut has said that democracy in Turkey cannot be sustained without input from jailed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Speaking to Jin News, Akbulut said that socialist parties in the European Parliament and the Council of Europe had long voiced the need for dialogue with Öcalan.
“A Kurdistan without Öcalan can’t exist, and democracy without Öcalan can’t be sustained in Turkey,” she said, adding that Öcalan should be released along with all other political prisoners.
Scores of Kurdish politicians have been jailed in Turkey, including former Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who has been imprisoned since November 2016.
Both the Left Party and Akbulut herself have always been vocal about the Kurdish issue, Turkey’s attacks on the Kurds in the Middle East and Ankara’s mistreatment of the Kurds and the HDP.
Akbulut said her party demanded an end to the isolation of Öcalan, who has been deprived of contact with lawyers and family since 2019.
“This isolation is against international law. Everyone knows that Mr Öcalan’s democratic confederalism concept and the Kurds themselves form an alternative model to the capitalist and centrist state system in Turkey and the whole of Kurdistan,” said Akbulut.
“The Kurdish women’s movement achieved major success recognised around the world with the Rojava Revolution, and the whole world saw it. Mr Öcalan and the democratic confederal system are the main reasons why an alternative concept that is feminist, ecological and democratic was implemented,” she said.
“There will be elections in Turkey next year and as the Left Party, we call for talks to be held with Mr Öcalan,” she said.
Remarking that Turkey is undergoing a serious crisis in terms of the economy and democracy, Akbulut noted that the Kurds are important for the future of the country.
“The HDP and Mr Öcalan can unite all perspectives. What’s important is the lifting of the isolation,” she said.
During the interview, Akbulut criticised the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), which she said had given its approval to Turkey’s attacks in the region it controls.
The KDP, the governing party in Iraqi Kurdistan, has come under fire for allowing Turkey to establish military bases and conduct attacks in its territory.
“We have asked the KDP to stop this attitude in our meetings. A national perspective is important here. We demand Turkey leave Iraq,” Akbulut said.
Öcalan’s isolation
The last contact with Öcalan was recorded in March 2021, when he held a very brief phone call with his brother Mehmet Öcalan. The conversation was cut off abruptly after only a few minutes. His lawyers last received information about him in August 2019. Since this time, communication bans of three months at a time have prevented any family member or representative from visiting the imprisoned PKK founder. Most recently, the ban on visits was further extended for three months in May.
The Öcalan family’s latest application to visit him was rejected on 29 March, the 10th such application to be rejected since 2018.

The Battle of Tulkarem April 19, 2024

1. The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) has been engaged in a campaign against Palestinian militants in the West Bank. The latest major such operation took place in Nour Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem. A handful of Palestinian militants were killed on April 19, 2024 in the camp. Israel remains persistent in cracking down on militancy in the Palestinian territories and major trouble spots while they defend themselves in both in the South against Hamas and the North against Hezbollah. This is likely to remain the situation as Israel’s security concerns remain elevated after the October 7Th 2023 terror attacks.
2. A special unit of the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) made an incursion into the Nour Shams-Tulkarem refugee camp in the West Bank. The unit reportedly has been making careful advances under heavy machinegun fire from Palestinian militants. [COMMENT: Located in the middle of Tulkarem City, the Camp is the West Bank’s second largest refugee camp and is recognized as one of the “hottest terror spots in the region,” with various militias known for their association with the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), Hamas and the Jordanian General Intelligence Department (GID). Over the years, the Jordanian Government (JG) has exerted influence on several militants in the West Bank, though least acknowledged, the GID has a military and intelligence presence that Jordan’s monarchy uses for advantage against both the Israelis and the Palestinian Authority. END COMMENT]
3. Special Israeli forces began advancing towards the Nour Shams camp around midnight on April 19, 2024, with the help of dozens of IDF armoured vehicles. The vehicles and soldiers carefully advanced towards the camp’s main entrance (the Nour Shams roundabout) and eventually stopped at Saif roundabout, just at the mouth of the Camp’s central area. At that point, Israeli soldiers exited the vehicles and began advancing on foot.
4. At 2:22 am, trucks carrying Israeli military D9 bulldozers began arriving at the scene. Shortly after, Palestinian militants opened fire at the IDF infantry soldiers to which the Israelis responded with heavy machinegun fire, and a fierce gun battle ensued. At least two D9s began deploying on the scene as fighting became fierce. An improvised explosive device (IED) was ignited beneath a D9 while it was advancing into the camp. The IED did not cause any damage to the D9.
5. At 3:03 AM, the noise of Israeli military drones were heard in the camp. A D9 arrived at the camp shortly after, with a dozen IDF armoured vehicles soon after that. At 3:26 AM, explosions could be heard, with no sign of any damage to either IDF soldiers or vehicles.
6. Shortly after that, a D9 began knocking down the building holding Al-Damah Butcher and Kebab Shop which is opposite the Al-Fadous Mosque and the Tulkarem Department of Motor Vehicles. The said building houses the restaurant and storage houses underneath. The D9 bulldozers preceded to knock down more houses under intensified Palestinian militant fire on Israeli soldiers.
7. The Palestinian militants engaged were confirmed to be from the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade and dozens of Hamas-loyalist militants. Nonetheless, their resistance receded after three hours of battle, and Israeli armoured vehicles moved freely across the camp’s central and Northern regions. At the same time, more Israeli armoured vehicles began arriving to back up and support the ongoing operations. [See video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neduFCiYlOI ]. During the operation, Israeli soldiers arrested two Palestinian militants wanted for terror charges.
8. Since the war’s outbreak on October 7, Israel has sustained a tight grip on the West Bank to prevent an Intifada outbreak. The Tulkarem refugee camp is considered one of the most problematic in the West Bank, with the number of militants being higher per population – an estimated 220 of a 10,000 total population. To make things worse, the presence of both, the Jordanian Intelligence and Hamas makes them stronger. The surgical and swift operations the IDF has been carrying out are designed to specifically operationally disrupt and scare the ranks of the Palestinian militants.
9. The battle ensued until the morning’s early hours. Four Palestinian militants have been killed, those militants have been ide Ahmad Abu El Faheem, Ahmad Al-Aref, Mutasim Al-Aref, and 16 year old militant Qais Fathi Nasrallah. Additionally, a 12 year old Palestinian child was caught in the crossfire and died after being shot in the head. This happened when he accidentally walked into the middle of Palestinian militants fighting Israeli armoured vehicles near the child’s home. In the end, the IDF arrested four suspected militants, those were: Anas Salah Ali, Oudai Samer Jaber, Khaled Al-Dablaoui and Mahmoud Al-Dablaoui.
